Lloyds community engagement manager wins Points of Light Award

He received the award from the Prime Minister in recognition of his voluntary work with the Memusi Foundation in Kenya, which he founded to provide school equipment to a community there following a visit 12 years ago. Norton has so far raised £1 million for the charity and Save the Children.The Memusi Foundation supports 1000 children across four schools in Kenya, and runs a volunteering programme that sees 120 volunteers from the UK visit the country each year. Half of the volunteers are Lloyds Banking Group colleagues with three colleagues acting as trustees and thousands getting involved in fundraising events.Norton said:“I am honoured to receive the Award from the Prime Minister for my work with the Memusi Foundation.
